Oral contraceptive Pill check section
If you would like to request a repeat prescription of the contraceptive pill you are currently taking and you are due a review of this medicine, then please fill out the form below.
When you are taking the oral contraceptive pill, you need to have a review (including blood pressure and weight) at least every 12 months. You may be due a review sooner if you have recently started or changed your contraceptive pill.
If you are interested in finding out about Long acting reversible contraception (LARC) please read the information available via this link. If you would like to discuss the option of LARC further with a clinician, please request a telephone call.
The information will be sent to the practice team and your request will be processed within 48 hours.

Intrauterine Contraception (coil) Fitting
Preparing For the Insertion of an Intrauterine Device (Copper IUD) or an Intrauterine System (IUS) at The City Road Medical centre.
We are keen to make your clinic visit as straightforward and streamlined as possible. It is important that you have done the following:
- Watched the information about intrauterine contraception video.
- Read the information advising you about what contraception you need before having a coil fitted page.
- Completed the Intrauterine contraception fitting form. (See below)

Once you have done the above call the practice on 020 7336 8170 or email us at Cityroadmedicalcentre@nhs.net to request an appointment for a coil fitting appointment with Dr Katie Coleman.

Intrauterine Contraception Removal
Removal of IUD or IUS can be done in a 10 minute face to face consultation with a health care professional.
It is important, in order to avoid risk of pregnancy after removal of your device that you abstain from intercourse for 7 days prior to your appointment.
